Fluoridation Starts
At the touch of a button and the turning of a few knobs, about £4OOO of highlyprecise chemical injection and control gear yesterday afternoon began fluoridation at the Branxholme headworks of the Invercargill water supply. As the equipment was turned on by the works committee chairman <Cr. C. H. Faul) about 40 people—including some opponents of fluoridation—were present at the formal function which marked the last main phase in the £430.000 Branxholme scheme supplying water to the city and Bluff.—(P.A.)
