AQUARIUM SOCIETY
Talks And Slides At Meeting A series of slides on pond construction and maintenance was shown at the July meeting of the Canterbury Aquarium and Pond Society held recently in Trinity Hall, Manchester street. Some experimental colour photographs of tropical fish were alsc shown by the president of the society (Mr F. Scott) and a talk was given on the common goldfish and on the swordtail tropical fi h. These talks are part of a series on fish keeping, and a different type of tropical and cold water fish is described at each meeting by the member who has had the most success in keeping and breeding that type. This enables all members to have access to information on local breeding and keeping requirements. There was a discussion on problems faced by members during the recent wet weather when ponds overflowed and cold draughts chilled baby fish in tropical fish houses.
