Reunion To Be Annual Event So euaoeesfti] was the first South Island reunion of the 7th New Zealand Anti-Tank Regiment at Belfast on Saturday that the event it certain to become an annual one. The Dominion conference may be held In Christchurch in 1965. I lie reunion on Saturday was attended by 122 former members of toe regiment who came frcm all over the South Island.
Major R. Sleigh, of Waimate, a former battery oomtnander, said the regiment had played an active part in all the Middle East campaigns when he propoaed toe toast to the regiment. Colonel R. Sprosen, a former regiment commander, replied. On August 12 another informal reunion will be held in Christchurch in honour of Brigadier J. M Mitchell, who commanded the regiment for tore* years and who was unable to attend Saturday’s event
