PUTARURU WOMAN’S GOLDEN KIWI WIN

WELLINGTON, July 22. Mrs Audrey Prole, of 19 Glenshea street, Putaruru, won the £12,000 prize in the 108th Golden Kiwi lottery. She used the non»-de-plume “Non-smoker,” but had been smoking heavily all morning, until final confirmation of her win. She had suspected she had won, but nobody she knew heard the winning number accurately. Mrs Prole, the. mother of a 414-year-old boy, helps her husband in a fish shop and restaurant he owns.

Christchurch syndicates shared £950 of the top 10 prizes. The following is the unofficial prize list. Official results, including £5 prizes, will be advertised in “The Press” later.
