Sangster gave Britain a good start by beating J. L Arilla. 6-2, 6-4. 6-4. but the Spanish champion M. Santana 'evened the score by beating R. K. Wilson tn a fluctuating match 6-4. 6-4. 6-8. 2-6 7-5.
