SALARY SCALES: In accordance with the Hospital Employment (Medical Officers) Regulations, the salary rates will be as follows: Junior House Surgeon, £BlO p.a. Senior House Surgeon, £lOl5 p.a. Senior House Officer, Min. £1285 pa.. Max. £1370 p.a. ACCOMMODATION: Board and residence is provided for single appointees and it is anticipated that some partially furnished residential accommodation may be available for married appointees. APPLICATIONS are invited for Registrar appointments to the' Otago Hospital Board Medical Staff for the year commencing January 1. 1964. 1. duties of these positions include the teaching of medical students and carry appointments as Assistant Lecturers. ANAESTHETIC REGISTRARS —Dunedin and Wakari Hospitals. GENERAL MEDICAL REGISTRARS (5) —Dunedin and Wakari Hospitals. MEDICAL REGISTRAR to Research Professor of Medicine. GERIATRIC REGISTRAR— Parkside Hospital. PAEDIATRIC REGISTRAR— Wakari Hospital. OBSTETRICAL REGISTRAR— Queen Mary Hospital (living in). OPHTHALMIC REGISTRAR— Dunedin Hospital. ORTHOPAEDIC REGISTRARS —Dunedin Hospital. SURGICAL REGISTRARS— Dunedin and Wakari Hospitals. ROTATING SURGICAL REGISTRARS (involving six months in Neurosurgery at Dunedin Hospital and six months in Thoracic Surgery at Wakari Hospital). PSYCHIATRIC REGISTRARS —Dunedin and Wakari Hospitals. 2. The following Registrar posts do not entail University appointment: DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY REGISTRARS Dunedin and Wakari Hospitals. These posts provide excellent facilities for further specialised training at the only Medical School in New Zealand. Courses are available for higher degrees. It is anticipated that the Primary Examination will be held in Dunedin in 1964. SALARY SCALES: In accordance with the Hospital Employment < Medical Officers) Regulations, the commencing rates of salary will be determined in accordance with qualifications and experience of the appointees within the following scales: — Junior Registrars—£l2Bs£1420 per annum. Senior Registrars—£l47o£1670 per annum.
ACCOMMODATION: Board and Residence may be provided for single appointees and some partially furnished residential accommodation is available for married appointees.
