Visit By Australian Light Aircraft

A Vieta Aii-tourer 100, a light aircraft designed and built in Australia, will arrive in Christchurch within the next few days during a month’s demonrtration tour of New Zealand. The Airtourer is the first Australian-made light aircraft to be granted a certificate of type approval by the Australian Department of Civil Aviation. Designed by Mr Henry Miller, a former Polish fighter pilot the aircraft won a competition sponsored by the aero clubs of Great Britain which drew 104 entries. An all-metal plane, it is powered by a Rolls . Royce Continental engine.
