Farmer Ordered To Pay £450
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 8
A 55-year-old farmer, William Watters, was ordered to pay a total of £460 in fines and costs when he appeared before Mr W. J. Meade. SM., in toe Magistrate's Court at Otahutm today Watters (Mr R. J. Craddock) pleaded guilty to eight charges of wilfully furnishing false returns of income. The amount suppressed was £5OOO over the period from 1953 to IMO.
