(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 9. A conference on toe development of Paraparaumu airport to trane-Taemsm standard was btid to Parliament Buildings today. The Minister of Civil Aviation (Mr McAlpine) aaid after toe meeting toat toe local bodies concerned bad expressed interest in his proposal and aasd they would like a concrete proposal to study. ' Mr McAlpine did not elaborate further on toe proposal he had made. The Civil Aviation Administration would now prepare a paper for further consideration, he said.
Local bodies represented ait toe meeting were Wellington city. Hutt crty, Petone borough. Upper Hutt borough, Porirua borough, Tawa borough, Eastbourne boroutib and Hutt county.
