Christchurch Considered

Quite a lot of thought was given to Christchurch as the site for the nylon factory, said the managing-director of Fibremakers, Ltd, Australia (Mr N. G. Wilson) in Christchurch last evening. The deciding factor was that “there was a little bit more business up there and he land was available," he said.

Mr Wilson was in Christchurch to meet .some of his

company's customers. He will return to Wellington today He said work had begun on the Wiri site at Auckland. Test bores were being made for the foundations and contracts would be let soon. It was planned to have a substantial part of the buildings completed in the next nine months.
