TWO LIFE MEMBERS
Mr D. F. Glanville and Mr E. E. Luttrell were elected life members at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club last night Mr Glanville had been a member of the committee for some 30 years and a steward for a little longer, said the president (Mr J. K, Davidson) Tributes to the work of Mr Glanville as chairman of the programme committee for 29 years were paid by the vicepresident (Mr R. W. Saunders). Mr Glanville’s main task had been to produce programmes which appealed to owners and trainers and attracted people to the course. He had been successful in both directions, added Mr Saunders. Mr Luttrell had been a member of the club for 51 years and as a result he had become eligible for life membership, said Mr Davidson. Other officers elected were: President, Mr J. K. Davidson; vice-president, Mr R. W Saunders; honorary treasurer. Mr C. S. Thomas; committee. Messrs G. W. Blaxall, R. E. Bpoker, C. E. Evans, G. W. A. Green, C. E. Hoy, H. D. Matson, D. McCormick, E.
