Youth Forged Bank Entries

(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 30. A Christchurch youth who arrived almost penniless In Wellington earlier this month had on a number of occasions altered the amounts in his Post Office Savings Bank book and succeeded in obtaining a total of £55 before he was apprehended, the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington was told on Saturday. Barry Gerald Edgington, aged 17. pleaded guilty before Mr J. B. Thomson, S.M., to four charges of theft, two charges of forgery, and tour charges of uttering a document knowing it to be forged and to be acted upon as if it was genuine. He was remanded to July 5 for sentence
