J.P.’s APPOINTED
The following are among Justices of the Peace recently appointed by the GovernorGeneral, according to the Gazette:
Messrs S. T Allen (Kaikoura), G. M Dixon (Kaiapoi), A. C. R. Goodman fWashdyke) N. Jones (Nelson), I. D. Kingan (Oamaru) K. L. Looms (Picton), A. R Marfell (Seddon), J. W Murray (Blenheim), WML Oswald (Duntroon), D. H. Scott (Oamaru), and F. J Shadbolt. jun. (Waikari).
Cyclist Hart.—Miss A Holmes, of 35 Cashmere road suffered minor injuries when her bicycle and a car collided in the Beckenham shopping centre. Colombo street, at 4-20 p.m yesterday. She was taken to the Christchurch Hospital by ambulance and allowed home after treatment.
