NEW YORK. June 26 Mao Tse-Tung’s newest "leap forward” is to British Guiana, according to “New York Mirror” columnist, Victor Riesel. The Communist Chinese leader wants British Guiana not only because he seeks to match the hold the Soviet Premier. Mr Khrushchev, has pn Cuba but also as a base for fanning out to the new West Indian island nations, the columnist says. Riesel claims that the Chinese leader’s partner in the Western Hemisphere is the woman security and national police chief of British Guiana, Mrs Jane: Jagan. The columnist claims that Mrs Jagan and Mr Mao made a pact during an undisclosed conference in Peking on August 31, 1962. Mrs Jagan. while in China, developed a p’an for the exchange of "students.”
It would mean that young Guianians would be dispatched to Peking, as the Cuban Premier, Dr. Fidel Castro, has been sending
thousands of children and teen-age Cubans for indoctrination courses in Prague and Moscow. According to intelligence reports, Mrs Jagan also sided with the Chinese leaders against the policies of Mr Khrushchev, Riesel says.
