FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An intense anti-cyclone covering New Zealand is moving slowly north-eastwards. A depression over the north Tasman Sea is moving east-south-east. Forecast:— AU Districts.—Light or moderate variable winds, tending northerly; fine, apart from some morning fog or low cloud patches at first; day temperatures cold, but rising. Outlook: partly cloudy in most places, possibly a few scattered showers in southern areas.
