STORKS ON LAWN
i Police Seek Information A Christchurch couple is mystified by three storks that appeared on their back lawn while they were on holiday recently. It is certain the birds did not land there, because they are made of •plaster. , Equally mystified are the police, who have entered the statues on their “found property” files. Senior-Sergeant E. S. Tuck said last evening that there were two statues, one with two birds and one with one bird. They were white, and about 18 inches high. Asked ■ if the statues could have any implication. SeniorSergeant Tuck said: “I don’t think so. This couple is well established. They have quite a large family.” Information about the statues would be welcomed by police, he said-
Slight Injuries.— A doctor on the scene treated slight leg injuries suffered by Geraldine Richmond White, of 173 Wilsons road, when her car and another car collided on the bridge at the corner of Wilsons road and Waltham road at 3.55 p.m. yesterday.
