TV Gatekeeper At Refinery

Press Association) WHANGAREI, June 2fl •The Marsden Point oil refinery will use an enclosed television circuit as gatekeeper at night a£ter it comes "on stream'* in February next year The television circuit has already arrived and will be used this week in the New Zealand Refining Company's display at the Northland Exhibition in the Whangarei A. and P. Society's exhibition hall.

When the refinery is on stream there will be a screen in the control room. Cameras around the refinery area will "report" to this screen when a night visitor arrives. The visitor telephones through to the control room, and as he picks up the telephone or presses a button he becomes visible on the control officer's screen.
