Wellington Held To 14-14 Draw (N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. June 26. With a try in the last minutes of the game. Taranaki drew, 14-14. with Wellington in a bright Rugby match at Hawera today. Taranaki had a marked superiority in the inside backs, but was unable to contain the Wellington forwards. Wellington was without the All Black. R. W. Caulton. who suffered a septic toe on the eve of the match, while Taranaki lost its main line-out forward, A. Smith, who burst a blood vessel in his leg yesterday. Williment kicked three penalty goals and converted a try scored by W. R. Strang, for Wellington, and B. ODowda kicked three penalty goals two of them within the first six minutes of the match, and converted a try by D. Parker, for Taranaki.
