Special Attraction At Washdyke On Saturday

This meeting will feature the Donald Grant Memorial Stakes, in which the finest field of top class horses ever seen at Washdyke will be appearing.

The conditions' allow these top class horses to meet on terms which will enable them to produce their best, and to delight the racing public. Considerable relief in weight is given a number of the class performers which have recently been struggling under heavy imposts. The supporting events should also provide excellent racing at the course where owners and patrons are always

sure of a hearty welcome, and where courtesy and friendliness provide the predominant theme. The racing public in the smaller centres are seldom privileged to see all the best horses at their local meetings. The enterprise of the South Canterbury Jockey Club and the whole hearted support of owners makes this possible on Saturday next The winner of the Grant Memorial Stakes, a weight-for-age race, cannot be rehandicapped for the Whyte Handicap in ’ ellington for which handicaps have already been declared. —PAA.
