DIVIDING LINE.—A nine-year old negro girl walks past National Guardsmen on duty at the dividing line between the negro and white communities in Cambridge, Maryland. The guard took over control of the area after a proclamation by the Governor of Maryland. Leaders from both communities met to discuss the problems which put the city under modified martial law.
