(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) CAPE TOWN, June 14
The South African Justice Minister (Mr Balthazar Vorster) told the House of Assembly last night thaj the Poqo terrorist organisation had been thoroughly beaten by the police. “Anything that Poqo can stage the South African police can smash, if and when they arrange it,” he said.
A total of 3246 Poqo members had been arrested up to June 5 this year, he said, and the police had clearly done their job in “eradicating this cancer from the life of a nation.’’
