Blue Gum To Have Trial

MELBOURNE, June 13.
Blue Guin’s performance in the Toolambool Hurdle at Caulfield on June 22 will decide whether this New Zea-land-bred horse will tackle the Grand National Hurdle on July 6, or the G.N. Steeple on July 13, Melbourne turf writers said today. The top Adelaide jumping rider. Bob Cook, will ride Blue Gum at Caulfield. He will also have the national mount.
The New Zealand hurdler. Clean Heart, was “sharpened" for the National Hurdle by his solid effort to run sixth in the Second Ford Handicap over 8| furlongs at Geelong yestertte,. He will have his next run over jumps in the £l5OO Plenty Hurdle at Moonee Valley on June 29.
