Tennis OTWAY LOSES TO MULLIGAN
Must Qualify For Wimbledon (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) BECKENHAM, June 13. An Australian, M. Mulligan, had to struggle to beat M. J. Otway of New Zealand, 7-5, 7-5, in the third round of the men’s singles at the Kent tennis championships at Beckenham' today. Otway has been refused acceptance for Wimbledon this month—he must play in the qualifying competition for the first time for six years. K Fletcher, the Australian No. 3. seeded to meet Mulligan in the final, took only 25 minutes to beat another New Zealander. J. R. McDonald. 8-2, 6-1.
