SYDNEY. June 13.

The Prime Minister (Sir Robert Menzies), left Australia today for a one-month tour during which he wanted to be "brought up-to-date on important world problems.” The-trip is the result of an invitation from Mr Macmillan.

The invitation came soon after Britain failed in its bid to enter the European Common Market.

Sir Robert Menzies said he would confer with Mr Macmillan and President Kennedy independently. “I am hoping to get some first-hand information on important world problems from the President,” he said.
