FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A depression is centred over Fiordland and a westerly airstream flows over the North Island. Forecast:—
Marlborough.—North-westerly winds, fresh in exposed places; fine with rather mild temperatures. Outlook: fine.
Nelson.—Light, variable winds; a few showers about the western ranges, elsewhere fine, apart from areas of morning fog; mild afternoon temperatures. Outlook: fine.
Buller and Westland.—Light, variable winds; changeable with occasional showers, but considerable fair periods; moderate temperatures. Outlook: little change.
Canterbury.—Light, variable winds; partly cloudy, apart from areas of fog this morning; cool temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy. CHRISTCHURCH READINGS
