MYSTERY DEATHS
Brisbane Lead
(M.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright BRISBANE, June 6.
Two of Sydney’s top homicide detectives flew into Brisbane last night to follow up a secret lead in the BogleChandler death case. The detectives refused to release details of the lead, but a senior police officer in Brisbane said that it eould result in sensational developrtients and a possible solution of the mystery. Reports say at least two persons, both women, are expected to be questioned in Brisbane. Neither of these women was a guest at the New Year’s Eve party at Chatswood, Sydney, from which Dr. Gilbert Bogle and Mrs Margaret Chandler went tp their deaths. The Sydney detectives who ar? in Brisbane aye DetectiveSergeant Jack Bateman, one of Australia's top homicide detectives, and DetectiveSergeant Don Fergusson, who has helped solve many New South *Wales murders, one of them a baffling poisoning case.
It is believed that five police officers discussed the Bogle-Chandler mystery at Sydney Police Headquarters yesterday. Th New South Wales Folice Commissioner (Mr N. T. W. Allan), who presided over the meeting, then directed Detective-Sergeants Bateman and Fergusson to fly to Brisbane.
