Colonisation Of N.Z.
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 6., As New Zealand reached the stage of young nationhood, there appeared to be a growing interest and a search for knowledge of the history of its colonisation and the hardships and privations suffered by its said the Minister In Charge of the Government Printing Office (Mr Rae) tonight. He was speaking at a function at the Turnbull Library marking the release of the publication, “New Zealand Or Recollections Of It.” by Edward Markham, who spent some time in New Zealand in the 1830’s.
