SATURDAY (Before Messrs L. G. Amos and D. Smirtih, Justices of the Peace.) 14 DAYS' GAOL James William Olley, aged 65. a retired seaman, was sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment on a charge of being drunk in a public place, having been convicted three times of the same offence within the previous six months. REMANDED John Conel Wilkie, aged 35. was remanded on bail to June 7 on a charge of stealing £l6 on May 31. Daniel Tinsley, aged 30. was remanded on bail to June 7 on charges of escaping from custody and using obscene language. A woman whose name was suppressed was remanded on bail to June 7 on a charge off false pretences.
