CINE CLUB CONTEST

Christchurch Wins

(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 2.

The Christchurch Cine Club has won the 1963 competition for the Rob Roy Shield, held this year ait the South Island Movie-makers' meeting at Dunedin.

The Otago Cine Club is host and among 150 visitors are representatives from clubs at Invercargill. Bluff, Mossburn Timaru. Nelson. Maikarewa, Thombury, Otautau, Maniototo, Pukerau, Gore, and Christ church. Clubs entered a half-hour programme of films for the competition which were judged on entertainment value by the audience. The meeting was officially opened on Saturday by the Mayor of Dunedin (Ms- T K S Sidey) On Saturday evening, the Otego club presented a programme of films, and yesterday evening Mr F O’Neill gave an illustrated talk.

The concluding item tomorrow morning will be a trade show.
