Captain N H. Pearson, who has zeen master of the island trader Tofua since she was commissioned in October. 1951, completed his final voyage with the Union Steam Ship Company when the vessel berthed at Auckland today Born in Taranaki, Captain Pearson has been at sea since 1919, and has become one of the best-known seafaring figures in the islands. He intends to live in Auckland He joined the Union Company in 1924 after some time in sailing ships.
