(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND May 31 New Zealand records for a Crivate sale of bloodstock were roken at the dispersal of the late Mr E. R Worth’s horses at Matamata today The sale produced new record prices for weanlings and a brood mare without a foal at foot
The Sydney studmaster, Mr R M. Boweock purchased five lots for 13.000gns He bought a chestnut weanling colt by Summertime from Radiant Praise, a half brother to Count Radiant and Waitaki, for 3400 gns. a New Zealand record for a weanling, and a brown weanling colt bv Fair's Fair from Bonnie Praise for 2000gns which is higher than the ore'ious best
<JIe also gave 4000gns for the -rood mare. Bonnie Praise, a Foxbrtdge mare tn foal to Alcfmedes That is relieved to be a record for a mare without a foal at foot
Mr Bowcock bought the five-vear-old mare Fair Praise (by 'andau—Radiant Praise) for TOOOens. and Valiant Praise, another five-vear-old mare, by Marco Polo 11 from Regal Praise, for tSOOgns Other weanlings also fetched high prices Mr S Robinson of Sydney gave 900 ens for a brown colt bv Le Filou from Tuihana R H Brinkworth of Matamata acting on behalf of Svdney buvers eave 950 ens for a brown colt by Messmate from Tanco Star and 650gns for a brown coft bv Chatsworth II from Valiant Praise
The top price for the racehorses was 800 ms paid by A McGregor for the six-year-old eeldine WaiMki (Dhoti—Radiant Praise) The seven-vear-old Jim’s Count, which won the Autumn Handicap at Rotorua last week. w r as bought bv Mr G Chittv for 750gns
Other horses sold included Essen don. bought bv C Haves for SOOgns Bellows <C Haves lOPens'. and Suner Valiev (Mrs D H Blackie. 200gns>
