False Pretences And Theft
A sentence of three months' imprisonment, followed by one year on probation, was imposed yesterday in the Supreme Court by Mr Justice Wilson on Jack Huxley a 49-year-old war pensioner.’ Huxley was found guilty by a jury on May 24 on two counts of theft and one of false pretence® in January and February of this year. He was sentenced to three months' imprisonment on each charge, to be served concurrently. His Honour said that in Jury ' s rect>mmendation for mercy, he regretted that he had not the power to make it a condition °f. Hu J X o y s Probation that he attend Sunnyside Hospital as a voluntary boarder. For Huxley. Mr R.
