Firmer Note At Close Of Trading

The slight hesitation apparent in earlier trading this week in New Zealand shares was absent from yesterday’s trading, when twice as many gains as losses were recorded. Prominent among the higher-priced shares were a number of leaders.

Northern Roller Milling, which has announced a one-for-one bonus issue and a higher dividend, rose Is in Auckland. Christchurch Building, Coulls. Somerville, Wilkie and Pye Electronics new also rose Is or more. A Is drop by John Burns was the only large fall.
