Queen's Birthday Changes

The following hours of at•endance will be observed bv the Christchurch Chief Post Office on Monday. Queen's Birthday, the Chief Postmaster (Mr C J C Simpson) said yesterday Postal counters and the Post Office Savings Bank will be closed Surface mails will close at 7 a m and air mails at 8 a m There will be no postmen’s deliveries and the street posting boxes will be cleared at 9 a m only The telegraph counter will be open between 9 a.m and 2 p.m, and between 7 p.m and 10 p.m There will be continual attendance at the telephone exchange and the public telephones situated in front of the Chief Post Office will be available for toll calls and telegrams when the telegraph office is closed.
