Dairy Mission To Japan

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 30. Mr N. E. Briggs, assistant director of the Dairy Division of the Deportment of Agriculture. will leave on June 27, for a six weeks’ visit to Japan and the Far East to investigate marketing and consumer requirements for dairy produce. Mr Briggs will be in Japan for a week for discussions with Government officials before being joined by a team of specialists whose visit has been initiated by the Dairy Board.

Pharmaceutical Society.— The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Canterbury branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand:—President. Mr K. Wardell: vice-presi-dent, Mr W. B. Wyatt: secretary, Mr H. R. Rollinson: treasurer, Mr J. A. Bryant: committee, Messrs H. C. B. Moore. B. Mclntosh. A. N. R. Wallace. I. L. Jacobs, and J. Banks.
