Car Records Kept

Each car serviced at the Avenue Servicentre has its own record card which is kept by the station, although the car owner may also have a copy. The card details the different jobs which must be done at each service, and also tabulates items which must be checked each time the vehicle is serviced.

The customer’s average monthly mileage is written on the card so the service station operator knows when the vehicle is due in for lubrication. If it is not brought in the operator can remind the customer the work is due. By referring to the cards the ser-

viceman can tell the customer how much his car is costing to run, and where the money “is going.
