Christchurch For S.L Final ?

Because of discussions taking place on the possibility of the South Island Chatham Cup final being'the subject of a live telecast in Christchurch, the venue is not. as vet finally determined

The management committee of the Canterbury Football Association received this information from the New Zealand Football Association last night The national body has fixed August 10 aa the date of the South Island final, and August 31 for the New Zealand final The winners of the Canterbury and South Canterbury district finals will olav at Timaru on July 13. The winner of this match will play the Nelson finalist at either Christchurch or Timaru on July 27 The committee approved July 27 (af Christchurch! and August 31 (at Dunedin) as the dates for the annual Jones Cun home-and-away fixtures between Canterbury and Otago The Ham ground was allocated to the Canterbury A and B teams for their match af 230 p.m on Sunday Player’s Conduct Inquiry An inquiry into the conducr of a player who took part in a match arranged by the Can'erbury Football Association was held before the judicial committee ot the association ast evening. A decision was reached by the committee, and the result of this inquiry will be announced at a later date.
