St. Bede’s College

Frontage

St. Bede’s College has lodged a formal objection a'gainst the Chmistohiuiroh

Drainage Board's proposal to lay the Northeote collecting sewer thronglh the frontage of tihe college property. The proposal involves removing the hedge and a now of, trees.

The sewer line adopted by the board is close to a new road line decided on by the Ministry of Works for the widening of the Main North road from Winters road to the Styx bridge, and was chosen to avoid digging up the road.

The Ministry of Works has negotiated for much of the land involved in the widen, ing, but has not concluded negotiations with the college.
