SUGAR LOSS

(NJ£. Press Aun- Copyright) BRISBANE. May 12. The value of the 77.000 tons of sugar stored in the fifedamaged Townsville terminal is claimed by a Colonial Sugar Refining Company executive (Mr R. G. Jackson) to be about £7 million.

The Queensland Sugar Board chairman (Mr O Wolfensberger) said an early estimate at damage to the building was about £250,000. He said it was hoped to repair the shed and have it ready to receive bulk sugar during the coining crushing season.
