The New Zealand driver, Denis Hulme, in a Repco-Brab-ham won the Formula Junior race by less than a second, at the international trophy meeting at Silverstone on Saturday. David Hobbs, driving a Lola, came in a few feet behind. He made a last lap bid to catch Hulme and pushed up the lap record which had been broken twice during the race, to a final figure of 105.16 miles an hour In the international trophy race of 52 laps Bruce McLaren, of New Zealand in a Cooper, set up a new lap record at 109.76 miles an hour. The race was won by J. Clark in a Lotus with McLaren second and T. Taylor (Lotus) third
