Economic Upswing Forecast For U.K.
(N Z.PA.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, May 11. The national Institute of Economic and Social Research today predicted a sharp economic upswing in Britain’s economy this year. The stimulus of this year’s Budget, should be enough to raise the underlying growth rate to about 4 per cent, per annum, the institute’s quarterly publication ‘’Economic Review” said. “After two bad quarters up to March, the odds are high that there will be a sharp recovery during the rest of the year,” it forecast.
