BLUEBIRD HAS TRIAL RUN

Donald Campbell, said yesterday that his Bluebird jet car behaved "quite well" in a trial run earlier in the day in which it reached an official speed of 240 miles an hdur. Campbell said the "Hobson's choice" track now had been roughly completed, apart from the last two miles, which was very wet The total length of the run is 14 miles. Campbell said that no Hood reports had been received today, but a check would be made after the Bluebird had run again today.
