Brigadier J R Page arrived in Auckland vesterday to begin his retiring leave from the Army. He has been head of the New Zealand Joint Services Liaison Staff in Canberra.—<P.A.) Mr W G Bryant was elected president, and Mr F G Oliver, vice-president of the Hokitika Savings Bank at the annual meeting of the board of trustees held on Thursday.
Mr S D Schubart. the Aus tralian Government Trade Commissioner for the South Island, will visit Invercargill and Dunedin between May 13 and 17.
