An inquiry should be made into the danger to health of driving heavy transport and earth-moving machines, the Labour Party decided at its annual conference today. The conference also passed a remit calling for an inquiry into the effects of noise, vibration and resonance as an employment hazard. The conference endorsed remits calling for the establishment of a second medical school and the provision of free ambulances.
