FIRE-FIGHTING COMPETITION
Scouts Compete In Ashburton The Darfleld scout troop won the Fuller fire flat and Rangiora No. 1 team the Stokes Memorial Trophy when the annual fire-fighting competition for boy scouts was held In Ashburton The competition was run by the Ashburton Volunteer Fire Brigade. Results were:— Scouts Fuller Fire Flag.—Four-man: Darfleld. 23.7, 1; Waiau, 29.1, 2; Brighton No. 1, 313. 8. Threeman: Darfleld. 28.8. 1: Brighton No. 1, 39.2, 2; Waiau, 42A 3. Five-man: Darfleld, 30.0, 1: Waiau. 30.8, 2; Brighton No. 1. 31.1. 3. Total: Darfleld 33. 1; Waiau. 25. 2; Brighton No. 1. First Aid.—Aranul, 38. 1; Waiau No. 1, 37. 2; Waiau No. 2. 35. 3.
