Filling Machines For Export

Filling machines now being made in New Zealand are capable of injecting a variety of products, from thin, watery solutions to putty and other semi-solids, into cellophane envelopes, tubes, cans, plastic bottles or glass jars. These machines have obtained a ready export market in Australia, says the April issue of “Export News,” the trade promotion publication of the Department of Industries and Commerce. By using air freight, both exporter and importer have had the benefit of quick delivery. reduced clearance charges, lighter packaging requirements and no damage to goods in transit. Further models are being developed on requests from Australia and. no doubt these models will also be readily sold abroad, the publication says.
