May 6 The veteran and screen actor, Monty Woolley toed early today at Albany Medical Centre Hospital, aged 74. toe Associated Press reported He had been in declining health in recent months Woolley whose trademark was a neatly-trimmed white beard had lived ' for many years in nearby Saratoga Springs The actor probably was best known for his portrayal if Sheridan Whiteside, the lead role in “The Man Wh‘ Came to Dinner ” He originated the role on Broadway and later starred in the film version and television production.
