FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An intense anti-cyclone centred in the central Tasman Sea is moving eastwards and covers New Zealand and most of the Tasman Sea. Forecast:— Canterbury, Buller and Westland.—Light to moderate variable winds; weather partly cloudy, with frosts at night; moderate to mild afternoon temperatures. Marlborough and Nelson.—Moderate west to north-west winds, fresh at times about the sounds; weather fine, with frosts at night in many places; mild afternoon temperatures. Outlook: weather cloudy in Buller and Westland, elsewhere fine.
