BUS AND CAR COLLIDE
Three Injured In Two Accidents
Three persons wore injured in two road accidents which occurred within 15 minutes in Fitzgerald avenue last night. Miss J. G. Peters, of 131 Marshland road, suffered head injuries and was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital when the car she was driving and a Transport Board bus collided at the corner of Worcester street and Fitzgerald avenue about 9.12 p.m. Her condition was later reported as satisfactory. The bus veered after the collision, and hit another car, but nobody was hurt. Miss Eva Havas, aged 22. a waitress, of 257 Milton street, suffered severe head injuries when the car she was in and another one collided at the corner of Moorhouse and Fitzgerald avenues at 926 pm. Miss Havas was admitted to toe Christchurch Hospital. Her condition late last night was reported as comfortable. Mr T. A. Foot, of 131 Lockaley avenue, who was in the same car as Miss Havas, suffered slight injuries, and was discharged from hospital after treatment. Both cars involved in the collision had to be towed away.
