Opponent For Mr Algie

AUCKLAND, May 1. Delegates of National Party members in the Remuera constituency will select their candidate for the General Election at a meeting tomorrow evening. The sitting member, Mr R. M Algie, who i 74, is opposed in the selection ballot by Mr P. B. Phillips, an insurance consultant, aged 37.
It is the first time Mr Algie has faced a selection ballot since he won the party nomination for the seat in 1943.
